Go ahead and give over some control to your students. Create a &#8220;choose your own adventure&#8221; pathway to deliver instruction with:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Google Slides &amp; branching choices<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hyperdocs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deck Toys<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>1. Google Slides<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gail Moore (<a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/GailKMoore\">@GailKMoore<\/a>) shares a way she uses Google Slides to create choices along a path for students with interactive student-led lessons. Then start branching out with choices. Hyperdocs<\/h2>\n<p>Heard the hype about hyperdocs? Here we go.\u00a0 A hyperdoc, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20190703172301\/https:\/\/hyperdocs.co\/about_us\">the Hyperdoc Girls<\/a>, is much more than just a google doc with hyperlinks:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;<strong>HyperDocs, a transformative, interactive Google Doc<\/strong>\u00a0replacing the worksheet method of delivering instruction, is the ultimate change agent in the blended learning classroom. With strong educational philosophies built into each one, HyperDocs have the potential to shift the way you instruct with technology. They are created by teachers and given to students to engage, educate, and inspire learning.\u00a0<em><strong>It\u2019s not about teaching technology, it\u2019s about using the technology to TEACH.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Let&#8217;s look at an example of an <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1OI35vfNGgj6j_CJaCcn-zoniZ_IrwZ3OozNd92DvZtw\/edit?usp=sharing\">American Revolution hyperdoc<\/a> (<em>we are on a mission<\/em>) created by Mandy De Groote.<\/p>\n<p>Mandy shared it on the <a href=\"https:\/\/hyperdocs.co\/\">Hyperdoc website<\/a> for others to use. Following the clear flow of instructional activities, students both collaborate and work at the team&#8217;s own pace.\u00a0Search for other topics and themes using the Hyperdoc website search tool. Deck Toys<\/h3>\n<p>Hang on to your hats! If you liked Google Slides and Hyperdocs, you are going to love <a href=\"https:\/\/deck.toys\/\">Deck Toys.<\/a> This easy-to-use digital tool creates visually appealing instructional pathways. These paths can be both <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.deck.toys\/what-is-deck-toys\/\">teacher-directed and student-led<\/a>, depending upon the need. Check out this <a href=\"https:\/\/deck.toys\/a\/7JqGyTZG4\">Deck<\/a> created by Chris Bologna to introduce students to parts of a map.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border-color: #eee #ddd #bbb; border-width: 2px; box-shadow: 0 1px 3px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.15);\" src=\"https:\/\/deck.toys\/a\/7JqGyTZG4\" width=\"612\" height=\"606\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While Deck Toys might take a little more effort to build, what might make it worth it is teachers can track students&#8217; progress while students play the Deck.
