It seems like lots of folks are getting in on preparing for the Next Generation Science Standards. The Vermont School Library Association<\/a> has created a great resource site for use by science teachers here in the state of Vermont. It’s called VLSA Science Resources<\/a>, and it contains suggestions for apps, routes to contact experts, book suggestions, web links, and more. They also have links to suggested eBooks that are available through the Vermont Online Library<\/a>, an awesome statewide network that can be accessed using information from your local library. Along with the eBooks, the VOL allows access to many online databases that can be used by your students to conduct age-appropriate scientific research. The VLSA site has recommendations matching databases with grade levels. Hopefully resources such as this one provided by the VSLA will assist with your work in the classroom.<\/p>\n
