She began teaching in Boston five years ago, now teaches in rural Vermont and was previously a social worker and environmental educator. Morgan is interested in integration, personalization and outdoor learning in order to best serve the unique needs of her middle school students. She runs an Outdoor Club at BTS and recently began a partnership with the Tarrant Institute, out of UVM, to conduct action research as she seeks to improve her classroom by strengthening student achievement through increased engagement. She is also especially passionate about helping students find what they love to read and how to improve their writing craft; she believes that literature, community service, and many other school projects can (and must) be windows toward equity and empathy in our schools and world. Morgan has a Masters in English Education from Plymouth State University. This year she is pursuing a Masters in Education Leadership through the Upper Valley Educators Institute's Principal Intern Program. She hopes to improve her teaching practice by better understanding schools and curriculum.","link":"https:\/\/tiie.w3.uvm.edu\/blog\/author\/morgan_moore\/","slug":"morgan_moore","avatar_urls":{"24":"https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/8d6912448482858e9ec5392d55e45e12b9fee1f0fb66b21ef4c9ddf9794514fe?s=24&d=mm&r=g","48":"https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/8d6912448482858e9ec5392d55e45e12b9fee1f0fb66b21ef4c9ddf9794514fe?s=48&d=mm&r=g","96":"https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/8d6912448482858e9ec5392d55e45e12b9fee1f0fb66b21ef4c9ddf9794514fe?s=96&d=mm&r=g"},"meta":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/tiie.w3.uvm.edu\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/68","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/tiie.w3.uvm.edu\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users"}]}}
