Our Communications Diversity Policy

We aim to create an inclusive, respectful online environment. As a result, we invite participation from people of all races, ethnicities, genders, ages, abilities, religions, and sexual orientation. Additionally, we’re actively seeking to increase the diversity of our guest authors, podcast guests, workshop & webinar presenters. This includes via our in-house development of articles, posts, and events. It also includes dialogue with the larger communities we serve.

This is an ongoing process.

Moreover, we are talking to our partner educators and communities, readers, and organizations about this goal and how they might help us achieve it. We are also committed to helping those parties achieve their own greater diversity.

Here are some ways you can help us build a more diverse environment:

  • Recommend appropriate speakers and/or program committee members to the event organizers by contacting events@tarrantinstitute.org.
  • Encourage potential authors to pitch a guest post idea to us.
  • Suggest ways that the on-site experience can be more welcoming and supportive, free from intimidation and marginalization. Share your ideas and best practices for how we can realize our vision by emailing us at audrey@tarrantinstitute.org.

We value diversity in the communities we bring together, and we welcome your contributions to bringing balanced representation of the richness of our collective human experience. We welcome your feedback.
